EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF PRAGUE VENICE AT KAMPA GARDEN

Čertovka, Charles Bridge, Werich Villa, Lennon Wall, The Octopuses from the Second Floor. By now you must know what all these places have in common. Yes, it is the location of the Kampa Island on the Vltava river, also known as Prague Venice. Almost every tourist will pass through here when visiting Prague. However, if you don't just want to walk by this romantic part of the city and wish to really enjoy its specific atmosphere, we have one tip for you - stay at the Hotel Kampa Garden. This small hotel is located next to the Werich Villa, in a quiet part of Kampa just a few steps from Charles Bridge, hidden away from the bustle of the centre of Prague. Despite having plenty of Prague’s tourist attractions at your fingertips, you don't have to worry about crowds of tourists running under your windows here.

The hotel offers 35 rooms of various categories. Standard rooms are designed for those who need to sleep comfortably and gain plenty of energy to explore the charming streets of Prague. Deluxe or Superior rooms are for those who want to enjoy a little luxury while traveling and family rooms are created especially for visitors, who have taken their children along to discover the beautiful capital.

Having undergone a reconstruction in the year 2018, all rooms are very modern and spacious. Another facelift still awaits the bathrooms and air conditioning at the turn of 2019 and 2020. A combination of blue and yellow is used for the interior, which, together with wood, creates a cosy and serene atmosphere. Several rooms have a beautiful view of the Charles Bridge and the Vltava river, while others overlook a quiet street, the Čertovka canal or the French Embassy and its garden. Don’t hesitate to tell the receptionist which view you would prefer, as they will be happy to accommodate you. The halls of the hotel are decorated with beautiful photographs. This may seem ordinary, but in how many hotels will you find that the author is the hotel manager himself?

You know the feeling when you’re travelling somewhere and arrive at your hotel room, tired, thirsty and in need of a break before heading out to explore the surroundings? You will be pleased to know that every guest on the day of arrival at the Kampa Garden is welcomed with mineral water and a mini-snack bar which is refilled daily, including tea and coffee facilities, free of charge. Quality hotel cosmetics or free Wi-Fi are a matter of course.

If you plan to arrive at the hotel by car, it is good to keep in mind that while the location is perfect, parking can sometimes be challenging. The hotel has a few outdoor parking spaces, but if they are full, the staff will gladly help you to arrange parking at nearby hotels or recommend another location within walking distance.

The hotel serves a rich breakfast including freshly baked cakes, tarts and gingerbread. On offer you will also find less frequent ingredients such as a variety of seeds, goji berries and more. In short, the menu will satisfy both guests who are looking to maintain a vibrant and balanced diet and those just looking for a pleasant start to their day. Coffee lovers will not go without enjoying an excellent cup of coffee from the Lavazza machine. Breakfast and morning coffee can be enjoyed on the small, but cosy terrace overlooking the mill wheel of the Grand Priory Mill and the garden of the French Embassy. Ducks and fish in the Čertovka canal will also keep you company. The magical atmosphere of Kampa will fine-tune your day and if you are lucky you can even catch some live music from the restaurant right across.

The unparalleled beauty of a place or a luxury hotel may not always guarantee you a feeling of comfort. An unwilling receptionist or an unfriendly waiter is often enough. At Kampa Garden, they are well aware of this fact and are therefore very keen on having a hotel staff that is friendly, helpful, warm and ready to make you feel welcome and cared for. There is no need here to list all there is to see, experience and taste in Prague. However, if you are looking for some recommendations, the staff will be happy to give you tips and a map of Prague for free. They also take care of any administrative arrangements, have your laundry cleaned right at the hotel or lend you an umbrella in the event of an unexpected downpour. Given the continuous praise the staff and especially the receptionists have received, you are bound to be satisfied as well.

Kampa has its own unique charm and Hotel Kampa Garden will serve as an ideal starting point for your wanders around Prague. Enjoy an early breakfast and explore this beautiful old town before it’s filled to the brim with crowds of eager tourists. The experience is worth it.
